I am in my fourth year working in schools as a Speech Language Pathologist and my fifth year in this career. I began working in a hospital for one year and then I began travel therapy. I worked in a school system in Anchorage, Alaska and then at the School for the Deaf and Blind in Spartanburg, South Carolina. I then moved back home to Indianapolis and am currently working in various schools in the Indianapolis area. I work with students that demonstrate difficulties with articulation and language primarily. Articulation is the production of speech sounds and language is the usage. I have worked with kids that have difficulty with speech sounds such as L, R, TH, etc. as well as students who demonstrate fluency difficulties. I also work with students that have difficulty with the use of language. This could be reading comprehension, grammar, asking questions, holding conversation, etc. I am excited to be working with the students at Legacy Learning Center!
